Ceppo di Gre Sabbia Matt Rectified 90x90cm Tile
Ceppo di Gre Sabbia is a warm, sand-toned porcelain tile with a matt finish and neat rectified edges. The 900×900mm format keeps grout lines to a minimum, so floors feel calmer and more spacious — ideal for open-plan spaces, modern bathrooms, and kitchens.
What “Sabbia” looks like
“Sabbia” is the warmest tone in the Ceppo di Gre look — think soft beige/sand with subtle stone chips. It works especially well with warm woods, brushed brass, black fittings, and creamy wall colours.
Where it works best
- Open-plan kitchens & living areas: fewer grout lines = a calmer, more seamless look.
- Bathrooms: matt porcelain gives a more natural, less shiny finish (choose the right slip rating for wet zones).
- Hallways: hard-wearing porcelain is ideal for busy foot traffic.
Rectified edges (simple explanation)
Rectified tiles are cut very precisely, so the edges are straighter and the finished look is neater. Most people choose a tighter grout joint for rectified large-format tiles (your installer will confirm what’s best for your floor). Our large-format guidance also mentions a neat 2–3mm joint as a common approach for rectified tiles.
How much to order
Use the coverage figures above, then add 10% extra for cuts and spares (or 15% for tricky rooms/diagonal layouts). If you want, send us your room size, and we’ll check the quantities.
FAQs
Is Ceppo di Gre Sabbia suitable for bathroom floors?
Porcelain is a great choice for bathrooms, and Sabbia is suitable for dry bathroom floors. The key is choosing the right slip rating for wet areas and using the correct adhesive/grout and installation method. If you tell us where it’s going (main floor vs inside a shower), we’ll help you double-check suitability.
Can I use it with underfloor heating?
Many porcelain floor tiles work brilliantly with UFH when installed correctly. Follow the UFH system guidance and use UFH-rated adhesives/grouts.
What grout colour looks best with Sabbia?
Most people choose a warm light beige/stone tone for a softer, blended look — or a slightly darker sand tone to pick out the joints. If you share a photo of your wall colour/worktops, we can suggest a few options.
Do rectified tiles mean I can use “no grout”?
No — grout is still needed. Rectified edges simply allow a neater, more uniform joint when the subfloor is properly prepared.
Will the tiles vary from box to box?
Variation is normal with stone-look designs (it’s part of the realism). We recommend dry-laying a few tiles during fitting to mix faces and tones evenly.
How many should I order?
Start with the m² coverage per box, then add 10% for cuts/spares (15% if your room is awkward or you’re laying diagonally). If you are not sure, message us your room dimensions, and we’ll check them.
