Where Mineral Nature works best
Kitchens & open-plan living
1m × 1m format minimises grout lines for a modern, continuous look. Use felt pads under furniture and entrance mats in high-traffic zones.
Bathrooms & wet areas
Matt stone-effect surface offers dependable traction when paired with the correct slip rating. Choose moisture-resistant grout and colour-matched silicone.
Light-use commercial spaces
Perfect for boutique areas and receptions that want a high-end stone look with the strength of porcelain. Confirm slip performance as part of your risk assessment.
Installation guidance (UK-ready)
Substrate & flatness (BS 5385 / BS 8000)
Large-format tiles demand a flat, rigid substrate. Check surface regularity, correct deviations, and prime as required. Use a suitable cement-based adhesive, back-butter tiles, and employ a levelling system to minimise lipping.
Underfloor heating (UFH)
Make sure the screed has completely dried and hardened. Switch UFH off 24–48 hours before tiling and recommission gradually after grouting. Include movement joints where required and follow adhesive manufacturer UFH guidance.
Standards & classification (BS EN 14411)
Classified under BS EN 14411 for porcelain performance. Always follow British Standards, manufacturer datasheets, and professional installer advice.
Design tips for 1000×1000 tiles
- Use a 2–3mm grout joint with rectified edges for crisp lines.
- Keep layouts simple (stack bond or half/third offset as advised) to reduce lipping risk.
- Choose colour-matched grout & silicone to enhance the stone-effect look.
- Plan door thresholds and trim finishes early to avoid narrow cuts.
FAQs
Is it rectified?
Yes — rectified edges support tight, consistent joints. We recommend a 2–3mm grout joint.
Do I need to seal it?
No — this is glazed porcelain. Use a suitable porcelain cleaner and avoid wax-based products.
Can I use it with underfloor heating?
Yes — follow the UFH guidance above and your adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
How many tiles do I need?
Each tile covers 1.00 m². Add 10% for cuts and wastage (more for complex layouts).
What’s your returns and breakages policy?
We accept returns of unopened boxes within 30 days. Report delivery damages within 4 days with photos.
