Why the Sunningdale Victorian Floor Tile pattern?
- Sunningdale pattern shown is made up of 3 colours: Dover White, Chester Mews and Holkham Dune incorporating 182×105 diamonds, it is a simple, classic and stylish design part of the Diamond Patterns geometric patterns
This pattern is made up of just one diamond shape. Its probably the best one to use for creating an optical illusion of receding into the distance, making a hall or path appear longer than it actually is. The equilateral triangle is half a diamond, so these two shapes will always complement each other in patterns and borders.
The classic hexagon or honeycomb design comes to us from nature via the beehive. This pleasing regular shape doesnt necessarily need to be mixed with other shaped tiles as it looks very fine on its own, especially in just one colour see Buckfastleigh. . - Another more complex variation, developing diamonds within diamonds.
